The Sunday mile on the training plan was originally meant to be the warm up for hill sprints, but due to taking the speed work out of the plan it now sits as an extra on the end of the week. Part of me thinks it's not providing any training benefit but on the other hand it's quite nice to go out for an easy mile and just get the system going. I can't see how it does any harm, so I'll continue it when I have Sunday fairly free but equally won't worry about dropping it when I don't have time or don't feel great after Saturdays long run. Alternatively if training goes really well I might increase it. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
So it stays in the plan for now.
