Before I started this run I spent several hours at work shifting cupboards and desks around. So before I even started my legs felt heavy and there was pain in my calf. As I drove home I debated not going, but figured I'd at least try the start and see how it went, especially as Emma was planning on coming with me. This wasn't helped by the continuing high temperatures (22 Celsius today).
As I ran the calf felt better and I settled into an all right pace. My shoe lace refused to stay tied but that was the only annoyance in an otherwise smooth, if slow, run. Even for easy pace this was a quite one, almost a minute slower than the 3 mile runs last week. Once again I turned around a quarter mile later in order to avoid the last half mile uphill. This time I got the math right though and so completed the planned distance rather than adding extras.
