30 July 2013 - Another short rest

I wrote last week about my leg hurting due to extra load from moving stuff at work. Due to this my leg hurt throughout Thursday's run with a dull ache, but I stupidly ran through it. At some point I'll learn.

Come Friday my leg was worse than I previously thought, and so the weekends runs got canned. I started again on Tuesday with another easy run, aiming to do 4 miles. Same route as usual. First 3 miles was alright, little aches and pains here and there but nothing focussed in the calf. Unfortunately a little after this the pain started, but fortunately I had the sense to stop soon after.

The google map continues onto the full 4 miles because Emma was wearing it and she finished the run without me. You can see where I stopped by the lap marker it shows. The following morning it ached for 10 minutes or so when I first got up but seems to have been alright the rest of the day, not great, just alright.

Plan is to do the full 4 miles on Thursday but if it hurts I'll have to stop early again. The entire plan has been adjusted to account for this further setback. I was hoping to be healed by now, and able to start running faster. Unfortunately that hasn't happened and so now it's just about getting to the start line healthy. Link to revised plan here.
